Background

- Design and implementation of a voter system to process all voters before they elect the Nigerian president
- Prevention of fraudulent multiple registrations and ensuring that each person votes only once
Implementation
- 456 BioLink Authenteon servers deployed in 37 voter registration centers
- Over 2.4 million single-fingerprint matches per second
- Overall number of matches - over 4.7 trillion matches over the 40-day enrollment period
- All voter applicants are enrolled at the level of Nigeria's 774 Local Governmental Authorities (LGAs) and duplicate enrollment attempts are eliminated; each voter will receive a voter's card.
Outcome
- Preventing individual voters from enrolling more than once under multiple identities
- Ensuring the integrity of the 'one person, one vote' concept
