Based on BioLink U-Match fingerprint scanners, Authentication Center (AC) scans users' fingerprints and transforms them into digital templates. Only such digitized templates are used for identification. The small template size (around 500 bytes) makes it impossible to restore the original fingerprint image from the template.
When users attempt to access the operating system, protected file, Internet website or other resources, AC scans a fingerprint, creates its digital template and compares it against the biometric database containing the previously enrolled fingerprint templates of registered users.
The biometric database can be stored locally or remotely on an Authenteon server thus guaranteeing reliable protection against unauthorized access and malicious users.
